Program
The D.A.S.H. program joins the forces of parents and teachers to provide the students with awareness and insight to the challenges of people with disabilities. It is a program about friendship, about differences as well as similarities, and about the value of those differences.
D.A.S.H. presents four unique curriculums that utilize hands-on activities designed to simulate what it is like to live with a disability. Children are encouraged to explore their feelings, think creatively, and discuss alternatives and solutions to the challenges created by a disability. Each program concludes with a guest speaker where the children are invited to ask questions and share their new perspectives.
